Private lessons for the piano can be difficult to take when we are adults. Sure kids have all the time in the world to take music lessons each week but then again they don’t have jobs they just have home work.

As we get older it seems almost impossible to learn piano as an adult.

So what alternatives do you have rather then taking private piano lessons? The first idea is to consider a book, video or piano lesson dvd you might find at your local music store. There are some great quality self study products out there you just need to uncover which one is best.

There are also some good free resources online you can find if you want to get your feet wet before you spend any money. Of course if you do decide to get serious about learning then I would suggest using a paid product since the quality of instruction and additional materials will likely be far superior.
